History and Culture = Mission and Direction
Without our own history and culture, our spirit, energy, intelligence, and actions are directed by others for their purposes and pleasure.

Since we as African-Americans are not included to the degree necessary in the curriculum of the established educational system, and because we are convinced that we will not be sufficiently included any time soon, we must have events outside of and apart from the established educational system to educate African-Americans (children and adults) into the positive knowledge of themselves. This is primarily why the Triplex African Heritage Society (TAHS) (working in conjunction with co-sponsor COMPRO-TAX, Inc.) is committed to the aforementioned task. This is why we sponsor this Annual African-American Cultural and Economic Seminar. It is our hope and belief that such a seminar will have an immediate and long-term positive impact on the lives of those who are in attendance. We feel that this positive impact will include heightened race esteem among African-Americans, which will begin to manifest itself in several ways.
A few of them are:
1) a greater tendency to enter the business
arena,
2) a greater tendency to do business with one
another,
3) a greater tendency to seek more profound
(substantive) speakers by function givers,
4) a greater tendency on the part of
educators and ministers to learn and teach
Afro-centrism to Black
children,
5) an increase in the sale of Black books and
artifacts in this and surrounding communities,
6) a substantial reduction in Black
imprisonment,
7) a substantial reduction in Black-on-Black
crime, and crime period,
8) a substantial reduction in Black family
dissolution,
9) a substantial reduction in Black drug and
alcohol abuse and addiction,
10) a reduction and ultimate elimination of
Black illiteracy,
11) a reduction in Black mortality,
12) a reduction in Black morbidity,
13) an increase in Black scholastic
achievement,
14) an increase in Black respect for Black life,
15) an improvement in Black awareness of self
and Black news topics,
16) a reduction and ultimate elimination of
liquor stores in the Black community, and
17) an increase in political participation; i.e.,
voter registration and the heightened success
of Afrocentric-minded political candidates.

This is our MISSION.
More simply stated, it is to bring African historical greatness to the conscious awareness of Blacks and all Americans so that the esteem of our African race will forever be heightened.’
This will cause African-American people to become much more self-reliant, as opposed to continuing to look to others for even their basic needs. We must take our rightful place among the leaders of the world for the benefit of the world.
Join us on this most worthwhile mission so that we and our children will not have to live with the atrocities of psychological slavery in the Twenty-first Century or at any time ever again.
Thanks
